  2. SYMPTOMS may include stiffness in the jaw, arms, legs and neck, headache,
  3. difficulty in swallowing and opening the jaw, a fixed smile and raised
  4. eyebrow may be produced by a spasm of facial muscles, sore throat, fever and
  5. may include convulsions.
  6. CAUSES. A break in the skin by a puncture wound (such as a nail, insect bite
  7. or a splinter) may allow soil and dust bacteria to enter & cause infection.
  8. TREATMENT. Almost constant nursing and intensive treatment will be required.
  9. .Medication to control muscle spasm, antibiotics and antitoxin prescribed.
  10. .Can be prevented with immunization.
